I'm building a Doombull for a beastmen list that will run in a minotaur horde. I'm trying to figure out if there have been any clarifications on the rule of the ramhorn helm. The rule states that for every armor save he makes he may make an immediate bonus attack at base strength. The question I have is does this count towards his base attack stat? In other words does it raise his base attack to the capped 10 or is it considered the same as his impact hits, which are bonus attacks but do not count towards his base stat. If not I can see a doombull achieving a possible 21 attacks in a turn he charges.
3 impact hits
5 base attacks
1 for Frenzy
4 models in base contact (per the Brass Clever)
And a possible 8 armor saves against 20mm bases
Granted this is all a best case scenario, but getting 10+ from all of these is easily accomplished. So my question is does the ramhorn helm count the same as an impact hit or a weapon. The argument for it counting as an impact hit, and the way I read it, is the attacks are made immediately ie not at the doombull initiative which would lead me to believe not against his base attack stat. Both impact hits and the damage from the helm are considered attacks so this wording does not clarify. If anyone has found anything that clears this up would be most helpful
