Hey guys this is the Deldar list that I am planning to take foward to a local tournamnet soon. It is a version of the Beaststar but with Dark Eldar as primary and Eldar as secondary. Although this reduces the chance of getting fortune I feel that the strength of this list is that it is so much more than the Beaststar. Anyway here goes:

HQ - Baron Sathoynx

Troops - 5x Kabalite Warriors w/Blaster, Venom w/Extra Splinter Cannon, Night Shields
Troops - 5x Kabalite Warriors w/Blaster, Venom w/Extra Splinter Cannon, Night Shields

Fast Attack - Beastpack w/5x Beastmasters and 24x Khymerae

Heavy Support - Ravager w/3x Dark Lances, Night Shields

Allied Eldar -

HQ - Farseer w/Jetbike, Shard of Anaris, Singing Spear

Total - 1850

A strong list with only a few problems.

1) little AA 6 lances = 1 hit or 2 if both are guided/prescience.
2) if you don't roll fortune the beast pack will be decimated pretty fast unless you roll them 4++ like a boss.

I would rather suggest raider spam with DL rather then venoms I guess just because you lack so much AA, though in the end other deathstars will be more affected by venoms, the choice is yours.

Good luck!

Fortune is nice for a pack, but not necessary. You can win, but you'll have to be much more conservative with you playstyle.

Consider getting something in the fast attack slot for eldar instead of one of your venoms. A spider squad, swooping hawks, or even a crimson hunter works really well in conjunction with a pack, as any of them can reach out and touch things that don't want to deal with the pack.

Other than that, solid list. If you have some points, get grisly trophies on one or two venoms. I find having them great for the daemon match up. Don't want that deadly 11 on the warpstorm to punk the farseer.

I second some trophies. I think you could lose a blaster to get 3 and the benefit of re rolling psychic tests is well worth it.

Maybe drop one of the guardian jetbike squads? You have a lot of troops as is, and you really only need a single jetbike squad to sway a game in your favor. Then you could hand out extra blasters, the last khymerae, or get some razorwings so your beaststar can cut through heavier targets.

I find this type of list works best with Eldar primary so you can bring the 2nd farseer or Eldrad. In the competitive environment you really need either some crazy character combos (vect, kharandras, eldrad) or fortune to make the beast star work.

In this type of list, the venoms are doing work that the beastpack can do already. Some more ranged AT in the form of war walker, wave serpents, or warp spiders (Eldar love their W names) would server you better.
