Hi folks I finished this tau commission a while ago at Golem painting studio and thought i would throw some pictures for you ll to see. the client reqeusted an ivory colour scheme, which i think i have delivered on. there was quite a few fire warriors and krrot which where rather fun to paint.

God, those Tau look gorgeous. Not trying to overstate this at all, but this might be my all-time favorite paint scheme on a Tau army!

I am blown away by the quality of these, James. Almost to the point that I want to build a Tau army, and I usually never want to do that!

EDIT: you're going to have to give us some idea of how you achieved that ivory effect.

That is a very striking and eye catching paint scheme for the Tau... much better than my brothers standard coloured army... I've sent him this link to show him he doesn't have to stick with that boring browny colour

This. This I like. That's a really great scheme, and the gradients on the tank especially is gorgeous.

Proper application of an air brush displayed here IMHO. He got a very smooth base shade and top shade done then went in by hand and really made these things pop! Bravo sir! I love white themed armies!

The kroot is stunning as well, would love to see a full hunting party!

Outstanding work. The armour is lovely and smooth, and the more subtle highlighting on the black is fantastic... It's really easy to overdo it on black.

Thanks for all the really nice comments, they where a joy to paint and was a good learning experience on the vehicles and riptide. I used an airbrush quite extensively in the this paint scheme, which allowed me to achieve the ivory effect.
