Today I had a great bank holiday Friday - the weather was awesome and after I enjoyed the sunshine I sat down and put the finishing touches to my entire Ork Waarrgghhh fleet!

My inspiration for these ships came from watching the Reavers in Serenity, right down to the reactions of the bridge crew and the Reaver's attacking style *snigger snigger*

It was really satisfying finally varnishing these ships up - felt like I'd closed a chapter on one of my projects

I do still have THE Ork flagship to complete - for now, I hope you like these shots of my Orkseses(es).

Every ship has been scratchbuilt by me - most of the pieces have come from a Pegaus chemical plant model kit. Other parts are Orc shield bosses, Lego bionicle heads, wire mesh and random weapons.
Thank you for looking at the pictures - please do comment if you like them

Very nice. They look properly ramshackle and non-uniform.

Thank you for the kind words! I am very pleased, that was exactly the kind of theme I was hoping for

Love it! Orks are so fun to play against.

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

This actually really motivates me to get working on my Space Marine fleet for my Alpha Legion. I bought up a bunch of the Space Marine stuff from GW and FW when the BFG stuff started disappearing but now they're gathering dust while I focus on the main 40k models.

There will come a time when I finally build and paint all those models glaring at me from my closet.

Very cool like the random and looted look you have going on.

The idea that anything I put up on Dakka might motivate someone else is the best compliment I can think of. Considering how cool your 40K Alphas look I insist that you do some matching BFG stuff!

Thank you! Yes they ARE great fun! My friend doesn't like Ravagers in particular because they are great at getting in the way and being annoying with torpedoes.

Thank you so much for the praise.

Thanks, mate, the fluff behind this bunch is they try to turn anything they can get their hands on into warships, even the remains of an orbital refinery in one case
