How do I use dreads and killa kanz well since they just get blown up by the heavy weapons in tactical squads. They are just to weak. I used them once to clean up the mess that my steam rolla squadron does but they just get blown. Should I get more so at least one gets into combat? Or should I just stop using them? But I heard of some people just using deffs and Kanz. It sounds pretty cool to have a deff mob but I need tactics I can use.

Thanks

Honestly, in this game there isn't much you can do to make a sub par unit any good.

My advice is to keep them purely for casual games or even home rule them to be cheaper. Nothing else is going to cut it, I can promise you that.

Hope for some good hellbrute data slate shenanigans for your dreads?

While they are singing "what a friend we have in the greater good", we are bringing the pain!

Have a look at ForgeWorlds Dreadmob list.

Ally these as BattleBrothers to your Orks, and take Dreads in groups of 3, and Kans in groups of 5.

Have you looked at a Big Mek using his Kustom Force Field ? He could also repair damaged Killa Kans, and Def Dreads....

If you are hitting IG with Heavy weapons, could you use a bubble wrap? Like a buncha Grots? (or Shoota Boyz...)

You use the dreadmob list like this:

I think taking a deff dread as a troop is ok. The heavy support slot is pretty important though...trukks can sorta allow you to take less battlewagons.

Probably give him two big shootas, because you're not really going to get into melee too much, its sorta there to just be a wall, and force something to hit it. Potentially threatening vehicles in melee.

You really need to get a deff dread behind cover, if you don't play with cover or buildings that can hide vehicles you're kinda not playing the game right imo.

As for dread mobs...you're going to have to look at I think forgeworld for rules.

The dread mob rules are a free download ... here.

There is some debate as whether or not the big mek stompa is escalation or apoc. According to GW it is an LoW escalation add on and considering that everyone now uses IKs I see no issue with it.

Do Dreads have better stats with the dread mob rules? I have already started with a dread mob army. Thanks a lot guys.

Same stats as the Codex, just in squadrons.

A full squadron with attached Meka Dread Warlord is a seriously tough unit.
