I have seen mixed reviews about the model... what do you think about it?
Are the mold lines hard to remove?
How tall does it stand?
Let me know that you think about the bone giant kit.
Thanks
Austin

It's a really old design and shows.
The mold lines goes away easily as the material is softer than plastic.

Not the best kit but it isn't terrible. Mold lines are easy to get rid of and it's quick to paint because there aren't a lot of tiny details.
I actually enjoy taking one in my army because he isn't nearly as imposing as the other TK giant creatures and isn't targeted as a priority early on. I find he gets into combat much more regularly than the Necro/Warsphinx and ultimately buys his points back that much faster.

Hey there,
I don't mind the big guy. I've got a metal one that I got second hand, who was a bit of a nightmare to assemble (ball sockets on heavy arms, sigh). The Finecast one would be fairly easy to put together. I assembled one metal and one finecast Catapult, and the finecast one was way easier, though still enraging. For your questions about pose and size, I thought it would be easier to photograph mine, Hades:
The metal arms didn't give many options for posing, and this was as close as I could get to a duelling stance. I wanted him to be saying, "Come and meet your doom, little swordsman!"
He doesn't have all that much detail, as others have noted; mostly metal plating with some bandages. I found it difficult to give him sufficient colour diversity, leading to parts of the metal being painted purple. However my army really focuses on bronze highlights to draw the eye, so he actually stands out quite nicely, glinting away as he does.
And for a size comparison, I put him next to a chariot and a standard bearer.
As you can see, he won't be the tallest thing in the army, but he fairly overshadows the mass of infantry regiments. Those papers in the background are my thesis notes, which this thread has been nicely distracting me from getting on with

Thanks for the info (and the pictures!)
The model looks a lot nicer than gw makes him out to be... on the gw page, for some reason, he looks like he has a total derp face...
Yours is quite nice
Thanks

Thanks! I think that the model comes with an alternative head, but since I've not bought one new I'm unsure. I definitely prefer the head on my guy to the bananahat on the GW one. Their website pictures are generally oddly bad - they manage to make even nice models look super strange.
Since I got him out from storage to take the photo, I'm totally tempted to get a second one and run the Settra + Colossi combination. Two monsters, with WS7 A5 and S6, really nasty if they get a charge off!

You could always use Reaper's bone giant model as a stand in:

I have one, and he's nice, though he obviously isn't armed or armored in the same style.

I agree about the alternative head. The other one they give you makes the Bone Giant look like a Chiquita Banana spokesman.

Let me know

Used to own one of these, very awkward model to assemble particularly due to the arms which look really bad regardless of how you position them. Not sure what the sculptor was thinking . . . lol.

I think so, mine seems about right, though I don't have a GW bone giant to compare it to (I only got mine for D&D, rather than WHFB). Here's a scale pic I found online though:
Seems about right on the monster base.
Note that it is Reapers "Bones" plastic, which is very different from GW plastic. It's really tough, but feels a little bendy - however, if you get a piece that's bent it can be warmed in boiling water, and fixed pretty easily. Mine came looking like he was in the matrix - bending right over at the ankles However, fixed once and he's brilliant. He's also less than a quarter the cost of the GW one, and looks better proportioned in my opinion.
