Hello everyone! I'm Mitchell and I'm just picking up the hobby and believe me when I say I'm in the boondocks. The closest games shops are all over 50+ minutes away from my little one stop light town, Morven NC lol.

Anyway, like I said I've just picked up the hobby so I'm doing the big dip I guess you can say to start the hobby off, since it's so damn costly. I've picked up the stupid expensive rule book along with a couple codex for Tau Empire, Space Marines, and Space Wolves. Purchased a load of dice, templates, special dice, stupid costly brushes, costly plastic cements, magnets, all kinds of other hobby stuff, and got a decent deal on a Space Marine Strikeforce box off ebay that I saved like 60 bucks on. So I guess my first army will be space marines which is good with me since I've heard they are well rounded and decent for beginners to learn with.

So yeah I guess I'm eye level deep in it now lol. I'm in the process of converting paints that I would need from the GW line to a cheaper and better from what I've read online Vallejo game color line. Just running into a couple little problems in converting colors, but I've already posted a question thread about that in the painting section.

Dakka is a great website for tabletop games. 40k has the biggest presence here, but you still get a wealth of information on all sorts of other games if you're interested in that as well.
