This is my updated 3000 point Warriors Of Chaos Army I am currently formulating.

Please leave me some suggestions.

Lords

1 Daemon Prince + Mark Of Nurgle + Soul Feeder + Flaming Breath + Glittering Scales + Magic Level 2
=405 Points
OR
Chaos Armour, Scaled Skin, Charmed Shield and Magic Level 2 (not sure what chaos armour is)
= 335 Points i think

1 Chaos Lord + Level 4
Do you think I need to give him magic items or mutations and powers? What about giving him a mark?


Hero's

1 Festus Leechlord - To join unit of warriors
= 190 points

1 Exalted Hero + Mark of Nurgle + Battle Standard Bearer + Halberd + Scaled Skin + Hideous Visage + Dawnstone + The Other Trickster's Shard + Dragonhelm
= 226 Points
Add the exalted hero to the Festus Unit

1 Wulfrik
=180 Points
To join marauders


Core

24 Warriors Of Chaos + Nurgle + Shields + halberds + full Command + Banner Of Swiftness
Total = 525 Points - Festus Leechlord and Exalted Hero as BSB in this unit

40 Chaos Marauders + Mark Of Khorne + Flails + Full Command - To support Chaos Warrior unit
= 430 Points
OR
40 Chaos Marauders + Mark Of Tzeentch + Shields + Full Command - To support Chaos Warrior Unit
= 390 Points
Let me know what you guys think about which build of marauders is better for supporting the chaos warriors

Let me know if you think I need Chaos Warhounds


Special And Rare


I have a few options, but I need to think of some good special and rare units to work well with the lords/hero's and core units

I could go with a monster mash. Throgg and units of trolls. Ogres, dragon ogres, a dragon ogre shaggoth, a hellcannon, a giant, etc. Gorbeast chariots could go well with the ogres. As your general works more independently, throgg will guide your monstrous horde.
But then I would have to add Throgg and get rid of a hero.

I could go with some flank support units: Chimera, Skullcrushers, maybe some dragon ogres to protect the flanks. To allow a unit of chaos knights to reach the enemy without being hurt.

A chaos Warshrine could work well with the daemon prince.

Please let me know what you think. I really need to formulate this army so I can gets paints asap.

Chaos Armour is a 4+ save (You WANT chaos armour.) when combined with Scaled skin and a shield he'll have a yummy 1+ armour save. Plus he'll shrug off the first hit that wounds (make sure you keep him out of range of archers, a smart player will force him to lose the charmed shield before dropping a cannon in his face.) Although I don't think you have the points for a daemon prince and any other lords.

If you give the DP scaled skin, no one else in the army can have it (Chaos is fickle) Plus that unit of Chaos warriors is a little too big, you'll find out that not all of them get to attack. You could also drop the shields, most shooting is strength 3 so the 4+ armour save will be fine.

Same for the Marauder unit, they are too expensive to be used properly. And yes, warhounds are good. You need warhounds.

Just about the chaos armour, I can't find the point cost for it. Is it in of the warriors of chaos army book, or a common magic item?
