I play in a few Pathfinder home games, and I occasionally play Pathfinder Society at my store with any of about a dozen characters I've put together over the years. A few of my characters have really good totally representative minis already, but most of them don't and I've been putting off assembling good minis for all my characters for too long. I need some suggestions for minis to use as the basis for these conversions, but I have one really important caveat:
I hate working with metal, and am only interested in plastic or resin suggestions. These minis should be more or less typical 28mm. Without further ado, here are the important details about my characters. Any recommendations for any parts of any of these characters would be great. I'm absolutely okay with frankensteining parts together and grey-stuffing them up to make the perfect mini.
VICARIUS URSULON PETRONICO NIMBUS VON WINTERCROWN, III, ESQ. Nimbus is a male human in a breastplate (and other armoured plating), wielding a rhoka sword (as shown at the top of
this image) and carrying a spellbook. He's huge for a human (think Kingpin from Spiderman comics) and claims to be a hellknight. Hellknights typically look like the following, but Nimbus wears a series of head-wrappings instead of a helmet. So far, I'm thinking some sort of Warriors of Chaos mini would help facilitate most of this mini, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which to use.
ENTROPY Entropy is a male android (basically looks human) who looks like a steampunk cowboy wielding a rifle and carrying a spellbook. I have no idea what to use for the mini.
OHD GODUMAUL Ohd is a male duergar (basically a grey-skinned dwarf) in a breastplate (and other armoured plating) with a rounded helmet obscuring his entire head (except for his beard), wielding a khopesh and carrying a spellbook. He also has a shadow drake as a familiar (Tiny-sized for those familiar with Pathfinder, or roughly the size of a house cat), who will need a separate mini. My current plan is to use parts of a Forge World Chaos Dwarf infernal guard and a
GW plastic Dwarf runelord, but I'm not sure what to do about the khopesh. The Tomb Kings khopeshes ares a really weird shape, and I worry the khopeshes that the Reaper mummies have will warp too easily. I'm honestly thinking a LEGO khopesh might be the way to go, but I'm open to ideas.
BAKU TAZZI Baku is a male half-elf in full plate armour, wielding a glaive.
This mini works fine, but I'm still open to other suggestions.
KOFT MEEKONAM Koft is a male human wearing robes and carrying a staff. His face is obscured by a mask fashioned to look like a skull. He also has a quasit for a familiar. For Koft himself, I plan to use
this mini as the basis, minus the horns and tail and plus a skull mask, but I didn't know if people had ideas on the skull mask, short of just cutting the front of a skeleton's head off. There are a number of quasit minis, between D&D and Pathfinder's lines already, so I'm fine for the familiar.
GOB BLUTH Gob is a male human wearing robes and carrying a spellbook. Yes, this is a Pathfinder Society character based on the Arrested Development character. He's an illusionist. He's very silly and a lot of fun to play. This is generic enough that it should be easy, but still open to ideas on particularly cool minis.
SETH KHALDUN Seth is a female human wielding a scimitar and gauntlets, wearing a veil of chain and/or bone over much of her face, and carrying a spellbook. She is a member of the Risen Guard, who typically look like this:
KHERTET OSIRIS Khertet is a male garuda-blooded aasimar (basically a human with bird feathers instead of hair) wearing a breastplate made of dragonhide, wielding a scythe. He rides atop a Large-sized
roc (a huge bird) wearing chain barding and a saddle, who will need a separate mini. I have virtually no idea what to use for Khertet. I guess a Warhammer eagle for the
roc?
KAHN RAGAMOTO Kahn is a male cobra-like nagaji (seven-foot tall snake person,
here's a picture of a generic one) wearing minimal functional adventuring gear with no armour, wielding a kusarigama. He spends most of his time shapeshifted into the form of a Large-sized cobra naga. He has a Large-sized constrictor snake as a pet. I've had no luck finding a decent large enough plastic constrictor snake mini and will definitely need one. For Kahn himself,
this mini is tall enough and wearing the right stuff. I'll have to replace the head with something snakier (probably involving gray-stuffing unless anyone has a better idea) and I'm not sure what to do about the kusarigama. For his naga form, I'm using
this mini.
LEX ESTATIS WINTERCROWN Lex is a male human hellknight signifer, the more magical variety of hellknight. He wields a bill and carries a spellbook. Hellknight signifers typically look like the following, wearing eyeless masks as portrayed. I'm open to ideas on this one too.
CHUMBO PUMMELHAMMER Chumbo is a male angel-blooded aasimar (basically looks human) bald-headed barbarian in a breastplate, wielding a guisarme. I think
this mini makes a good basis, but I'll need to add a breastplate and guisarme if people have ideas.
WISP ASANARAH Wisp is a male wayang (looks like a gangly gnome or halfling with gray skin). He wears a chain shirt and fights with a bladed scarf. He has long hair and a Metallica moustache. He has a shadow (the undead type of creature) as a companion. I have no ideas for Wisp himself, really. I'm definitely open for suggestions. I'm pretty sure there's a D&D mini of a shadow I can use, though.
WUMBO PUMMELHAMMER Wumbo is a male angel-blooded aasimar (basically looks human) bald-headed barbarian in a breastplate, wielding a glaive. I think
this mini makes a good basis, but I'll need to add a breastplate and glaive if people have ideas.
