So, do Elysian heads work well with Cadian bodies? Does anyone have any pictures of this?

I would say no. The Elysian are a good bit smaller than the cadian plastics. I'm pretty sure the heads wouldn't look proper on a cadian body.

Yeah Elysians are more proportional than the monkey bodies and head of the plastic cadians. The good news is the accessory pack cadian heads that forgeworld makes allows you to have better looking heads. Check out their website for more pictures. Capt K

i agree, could be done, but it could get time consuming. and might not look so hot.

I've tried it and it looks pretty weird. I was also hoping that the rebreather Cadian heads would look good on plastic scouts, but again, way disproportionate. 

If you're looking for different heads, try the new Van Saar metal heads. 3 heads to a sprue for around $1.50 each and they have a very techy look to them (goggles, rebreathers, etc.). No helmets, though.

The Cadian rebreathers look okay but I don't feel like shelling out 30$ for 10 heads and some stuff that I won't use... and I have lots of troops to equip. I think I'll go with my original plan of greenstuffing the heads.

Edit: Do you have by chance some close-up pics of them? The ones on the GW page are worse than bad and I need to see if they would fit the Adeptus Mechanicus feel I am aiming for as good as the Elysian heads. Thanks in advance.

Check out the kill team section of the hard-backed 40k book. There are a couple of Cadians with Van Saar heads in them, and they look fine. They do look a little small for Catachans, however. I'll try to post some pics...

Are you talking of the guys in the "trap/minefield section"? Standing guard with a dog at a fence?

If not, could you please indicate me to a page number?

While I have not put an Elysian head on a Cadian, I have put one of the resin wounded Cadian heads on one of my Elysian lts and it looks just very nice indeed.  So it might work despite the naysayers.    I have some spare Elysian heads laying around, I'll see if I can slap one together and post a pic for you in the next day or two.

jdp! You'd probably save the current concept of my techguard if you did this!

I'm looking forward to the pics. You could even just hold the head next to the body with your hand, I don't care.

On a similar note...cadian torsos on catachan bodies? If the roid abuse catachan arms are painted like skintight fabric, maybe?

check the belt lines. they're kinda hinky. don't line up right. you could put the catachan arms on the cadian torso.

The Elysian heads would look more like a properly sized human head as opposed to the mongoloid heads that games workshop puts in the boxes. I say go for it.
