Last week we took a break from preparing for our Little Wars Convention "Mech Attack" game and played some Song of Blades and Heroes.

It was a 3 player scenario with two forces of evil players trying to waylay 4 different Hero/leaders before they could escape. Was a great time and as always we tried to make as evocative a battlefield as possible. The player who setup the field counted all the cliffs and docks as being higher than they initially appeared making them more difficult to ascend/descend and it created a reason to use them rather than just charging across the table. Really helped add a new "dimension" to the game.

The full report with lots of pics is here...

...but I wouldn't dare ask you to check it out without providing plenty of teaser photos.

Lovely! Never played the game at 1000 points, but I'm definitely gonna try it some time.

I'd love to see some stats for the models

Glad you enjoyed it. Here's the stats for the Chaos warriors (guys in red). It's the same as what I used except I dropped the mage and added another rider.

I don't have the stats for the other players. The other bad-guy player actually uses a magic card maker program to make a card for each model.

As for 1000 point games, the one addition we make is to allow the player with 1000 points to have two fail-outs before having to pass play to the other team rather than one. It also helps to have multiple leaders in a big force.

Here's another big-pointed game we did, including a 1000 point per side game with two players.
