I'm sure this gets asked all the time, but I put some decals on to my IG tanks, and sprayed them with protective coat. Now the thin film is opaque and visible along with the design.

Is there a way to fix this? Or do I need to go back and re-do it?

You may have to redo them.

Ideally, you put a GLOSS coat down on the area you want the decal on and let it DRY thoroughly. This works for ANY model, not just GW stuff.

Then apply the decal (using softeners/rehardeners like microsol/microset where needed), then varnish again (gloss) and then MATT the entire thing.

Silvering is due to the decal not adhering properly to the surface.

Thanks. On the Brightside, I only did the one as a test, so its not that big a deal to try a new method.
