I'm struggling to build my 2000pt list, I've already posted a similar list but have made a few slight alterations any help or assistance would be very much appreciated.
So far it looks something like this.
HQ
Farseer, Singing Spear, Jetbike
Spirit Seer (*)
Troops
10 Guardians Bright Lance (*)
10 Guardians Bright Lance (*)
10 Dire Avengers Power Weapon Shimmershield (*)
5 Wraithguard Wraithcannon (*)
5 Guard D-Scythes
Dedicated transport
3x Wave Serpents Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon, Holo-fields. (*)
Elites
6 Firedragons Inc. Exarch. Fast Shot, Firepike.
Heavy Support
Wraithlord 2x Bright Lance, Ghostglaive
War Walker Bright Lance, Scatter Laser
War Walker Bright Lance, Scatter Laser.
Items marked (*) are what I currently own.
that all comes out at about 1805 to my reckoning, I'm just really unsure where to go from here, another war walker? a fire prisim? bikes? shinnig spears? another wraithlord even? a mix somewhere inbetween?
all appear to be viable options... also would you remove anything from the current list to make way for something else?
will be mainly be running against MEQ. thanks for any help, again.

Farseer either needs a squad to go with, or the mantle for protection. You could go on foot with the avengers if you wanted, or blob the guardians together for a 20 man squad.
The wraithguard and dragons need serpents, and you could buy another for the avengers and/or guardians if you wanted.
Dragons only need to be fielded as 5 basic models. With battle focus and fleet, you can get into range even if the transport is downed, and with a 3+ save you have decent odds of surviving.
Don't mix roles on your war walkers, either dual lance or dual scatter. You can toss guide their way to link the lances if needed. I would probably go dual scatter as you have a decent amount of AT as is, but it is up to you.
A 2nd lord is nice for saturation, but prisms are also decent. More walkers are good, shining spears are fun and can be good, cheap jetbike squads to score are great.
It looks solid overall, with the least effective choice being fire dragons(scoring wraithguard are only a bit more, do the same job and then some...) but even then dragons are good.

I second the guardian blob. 20 with double lances is quite a solid unit. Put the farseer with them, keep him on a bike. Late game mobility is nice and T4 for 15 points is just too good.
Dragon exarch with fast shot if you want 6 shots but save a few points. BS5 is nothing to scoff at either. They get the job done with 5 though, but it's your call there.
War walkers with double weapons as mentioned. Either double lance, double scatter, or go a mix of scatter / star. Same strength, but a little less shots for ap2 (which can be useful).
I like it.

Thanks for the replies
Think I'll keep to just three wave serpents, don't want to be accused of too much spam. The blobbing up of the guardians sounds like a good idea.
I included the dragons as I'm having trouble cracking multiple land raiders so that will be there sole job. Never thought about swapping them out for another unit of scoring wraithguard though, that might be something I have to consider, I just love how tough they are.
Out of interest why do you recommend to take two of the same weapons on the walkers?

Eldar are all about specialized units. Every unit does one thing very well. When you start mixing roles (like giving walkers anti tank and anti infantry weapons, or when you give fire dragons a flamer) They begin to falter and just be sort of "alright" at everything. Walkers with 2 bright lances each WILL destroy a vehicle most of the time Walkers with 2 scatters each WILL eat up infantry most of the time Walkers with starcannons(or scatters/starcannons) WILL tear up monstrous creatures most of the time. When you start mixing roles it becomes "I'll shoot at it and hopefully good things happen". The Eldar are a fairly squishy army (serpents not withstanding), so it's important that each squad be able to accomplish their purpose before they get wiped out, as it it always a very real possibility.

Yeah that all makes sense actually, and explains some of the difficulties I've been having, just need to decide weather to run 2 bright lance toting war walkers or have 1 dakka walker. Think I'll stick a full compliment of lances.
Any more suggestions on how best to spend that remaining 195pts.
I think unless I take bikes or can afford the mantle I'll take the farseer off his jetbike, sound about right?

You can have the farseer on bike chill with the guardian blob, also for 195pts you can do a lot, like get some dedicated AA, a CH exarch is 180, 15pts left for whatever.

I'm not entirely sure, judging from the way your list is written and the way you've been describing your walkers, but I just want to confirm that you know War Walkers may come in squads of three as a single Heavy Support choice. You keep talking about singles and doubles.

I was going to run them as two separate units, hopefully making them just a little more survivable. It depends if I take another heavy support choice, in which case they will need to form a unit.
At the moment anti-air isn't too much of a problem round here, so I think I'd only invest in a CH or similar when the chaos guy I play against mainly finally get himself a Helldrake. (why he hasn't already is beyond me)

Ahh, that makes sense then. I usually only run them in groups of 3 to avoid giving out an easy first blood. But I suppose if you've got the terrain then one Walker is easier to hide than 3.

Yeah our boards are often fairly dense with terrain.
Still having trouble deciding on what else to buy to bring me up to 2000 seems like I have no 'bad' options which only seems to make choosing even harder. Automatically Appended Next Post: The more I think about I feel either the 2nd wraithlord or the fire prism would be most beneficial, the fire prism especially for dealing with MEQ. But then.... Jetbikes Automatically Appended Next Post: I've not really had too much of a problem with killing marines and the like it's just their tanks, I'm hoping with these alterations that should change.

Good list. Good you have bright lances but maybe choose between Fire Dragons and Wraithguard with wraithcannons as they do similar jobs.
War walkers need specialisation as mentioned. Maybe you need something that outflanks or deep strikes for the fear factor. Also might be worth putting your d scythe guard in a serpent and sending that thing right at the enemy.
