So, I was thinking, during reading new IG codex... what are last events from official sources (BL included) ?
C:IG has last 995.999 M41 which is Abbadon's push at Cadian Gate and Creed preparing some tactical genious-like Last Stand. Well, it just sits, IMO into novel Blood of Cadia.
But what about other codices and other supplements? It seems to me, that GW is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slowly limping to M42. Which will mean just another date and not much progress I guess.

The BL novel Cadian Blood which actually takes place in approximately 003.M42 (from the textual clues within the book itself referencing back to Abaddon's 13th Crusade start which was placed at 999.M41).

Cain's last stand also takes place some time in Early M42, and Cain himself dies of old age a few decades afterwards.

Before the retconed the last date on the calendar was The end of the 13th Crusade and The fall of Segmentum Obscuras and most of Cadia. If you take C.S. Goto's dating of the events of Dawn of War as canon, Dawn of War takes places in 999.M41. iirc
In the 5th edition Necron codex, Anrakyr the Traveler gets a lot of the big name Necrons together to liberate the Tomb World of Carnac from Exodite and Alaitoc Craftworld Eldar also in 999.M41.

Amberly Vail (probably spelled her name wrong) the Inquisitor from the Cain series is writing retrospectively about Cain in the year 025.M42.
Ingame I can't think of any date after 999.M41. GW would have to sue itself for false advertising.
