Hey Dakka,
I was thinking about picking up a LS Storm and I am trying to decide what the bests chapter for it is.
I was thinking it would be between White Scars or Raven Guard. Fluff wise those two chapters would be the best. Chapter tactics wise I am not sure.....
What do you guys think?

I'm not sure how much the chapter tactics matter to these guys. Shouldn't the chapter tactic be based on a more overall strategy?

Are you fine with forgeworld chapter tactics?
It's not that any of them are particularly good, but it gives me more options to theorize with.

It is true that the overall army strategy should incorporate the storm and not the other way around.
The unit itself already has the special rules that the WS and RG provide.
I guess the scouts themselves would be benefiting from the CTs. BT would be nice to give the sgt rending while IF would allow the bolters to be more effective.....

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine. |

Totally. Are you thinking Red Hunters?

Vehicles get very few benefits from chapter tactics. The only one that actually works straight up is Iron Hands. LSS already have scout, so gain nothing from RG.
Now the contents of the LSS do get some CT perks, but that depends a lot on what you want to do with them.

The Hunters are pretty useful yes, and you can bring along some SoB/knight buddies too.
Have you considered Coteaz?

I have him actually. Used him in a tourney last weekend.
I like the Red Hunters as it would allow multiple USRs to be used by them situation depending. Makes the scouts way more flexible. I just don't know if most people outside of a gaming group would be okay with FW CT's.... Automatically Appended Next Post:

Sometimes, you have to Wonder how Coteaz shows up to virtually every battle the Imperium is involved in unless he's mastered the super-special psyker power of duplication.
