I understand that there are a couple of threads about Wayland Games & Total Wargamer, and I know the general consensus is to avoid them if I want hassle free.

I'm looking to buy a large amount for a new army, and naturally I'd rather avoid GW's prices, so what stores would you guys recommend is a good compromise between discount and the overall quality of consumer service?

I think Wayland are fine, also Dark Sphere in London and Firestorm Games in Cardiff, both have pretty good reputations. But the way GW distribution seems to work (and if you're spending a lot) I would probably call and make the order over the phone to make sure.

I've used Dark Sphere and Element Games, the latter more recently, and I'd recommend both.

Their third party supplies are rather limited, but I've had nothing but good experiences with Secret Weapon Miniatures.

Used Dark Sphere several times, only once was there an issue and it was solved the pretty much the moment I phoned up asking (next day delivery in the afternoon if I remember right).

Firestorm games I've never had an issue with. Very good place to order from also.

Wayland Games I used to use a lot, but I had problems with their checkout system. I've not used them in a long time but like you I've heard a lot of murmurings. Hopefully they're ok now, as they're the only distributor outside of the maker, Prodos, of the Warzone stuff (and ordering from -them- was painful, ignored messages and subtle "lies").

Never used Total Wargamer, but I've only really heard neutral to bad.

Wanted to try Darksphere but the stock system and lack of sales phone number put me off despite the shining reviews.

I buy from Element. Only placed 2 orders so far. Rang up for help on some paint and they were really helpful. Both times it came next day and was free. Highly doubt i'll bother with anyone else.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'll give element games a try, although the discount isn't as good as others it's free shipping for me.
