Doing the math on buffed blobs with 5 Lascannons (that reroll everything and can get ignore cover) and 9 power axe attacks re-rolling we find not much stands up to it. It can sit back , force you to come after it or get shot down all game and when needed the bullgryn squad can support it. The notion that you can take down a blob with a few pie plates is also pretty funny. You might with multiple barrages get 5-6 and single barrages get 3 when they spread out. And really you see weapons today that are generally not barrage .
We already discussed what bullgryns can do with a gating IC and buffs. Opponent's better beware how they advance and deploy. The list is rife with psychic powers. DSing and scouting gets risky.
The conscripts are just another squad that hold objectives all game long while Yarrick issues orders. Sitting close by will be the scouts trying to pick off characters and weapons and adding a few missile launchers (possibly prescienced as well). A scout rerolling rends, pinning and missile launchers can do some damage.
So the list is still generally a fun list. But I do believe it can surprise a few opponents. It has elements that make it tough ... AGL, fearless, orders, psychic buffs that really shore up a few of its weaknesses. Now to build and paint it, lol.
