Kind of took a long break from doing any modeling, at least a month or two. Picked up the Imperial Knight for my army during that time but didn't do much more than assembling and priming. Finally broke down and slapped some paint on it. Reasonably happy with how it turned out.

Yup, thats an IK alright. Nice and crisp paintjob too. Probably only way you could improve that is to add some wear and tear, which not everyone likes (and doesnt always fit anyway).

I am still one sad warboss about that thing though. I saw it and immediately went OOO NEW TOY TO LOOT! nope, cant even desperate allies that thing >.<

I'd love to do some weathering, I just find that unless you know what you're doing, it's very easy to make the model look bad especially with excessive weathering (unless you're doing an ork vehicle). I'm not very practiced with weathering. Hopefully in the future I can do it.

I think it came out pretty darn nice.... a little weathering/wear and it would probably go from nice to amazing...
Either way, great job !

I'd offer help on the weathering but all i know usually is done before you paint it with the finishing coat :( sorry. Orks tend to have a lot of rust, and i find it best to paint copper wherever you want to have rust, hit it with hairspray, throw salt on it, paint over it normally, brush salt off, jab the crap out of it with some Earth pigments. Gives a bit of a chipped paint and some rust feel. Not the greatest but its what i do
