The Protectors of Tarsis Ultra

I am rereading 'Warriors of Ultramar' at the moment and who doesn't want a Mortifactors army after that?
I'd like to do Ventris and the 4th Company some justice too. The Tarsis Ultra PDF might also be featured, making full use of the allies in 6th edition.
I'll also obviously have a Deathwatch squad (Veterans) somewhere in the army as well.
I'll try to stay close to the fluff but the rule of cool always comes first.

I want to get at least the equivalent of one squad done per month. However to keep me on task I will allow myself a few distractions. Yeah, that's how my brain works!
But I think I'll keep interest just because of the sheer modelling potential here...

So without further ado I'll start by showing you a really early WIP of Ventris.

I want him posed to look as if he is ordering his men forward on the run with his sword pointing toward the enemy and holding his bolter at the rest. *stops to catch a breath*
I still have to source a pair of ornate (possibly MK4) running legs, and a suitable head, otherwise all the bits I have planed out are in that tub. I just couldn't get them to stay on long enough for the pic as my blu-tack has lost all stickiness.
If anyone could suggest a good Ventris head I may have overlooked or help me out sourcing the legs (bits trade?) I'd be eternally grateful!

I think I may have Learchus wrapped up here, maybe with a few changes.

Now on to a distraction that I've been working on (already!!!)

A Deathwatch marine (Iron Hands)

The Mortifactors are largely in the planing stages at the moment. I really want to do them justice, so sourcing bits and planning conversions may take a while.
Ultras will have the most show time in these beginning stages.

Test schemes to come fairly soon. The Ultramarines will be a little lighter than my 2nd Company and the Mortifactors will hopefully look a little something like this...
Spoiler:

Until next time,

Thanks for looking.

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

Have just Finished Building Uriel Ventris
That's all I managed to get done Today.
Chose a different sword arm, picked out the perfect head and went for a different look altogether...

Obviously still WIP, might use a few more bits, and cleanup of mould lines and stuff is still to be done.

What do you all think?

A great story.

Every time I read Warriors of Ultrima I have the same urges to build the 4th company.

That's a perfect Ventris head. I'm digging the pose.

Consider me subbed.

These are some of the pictures I enjoy.
