I counted at least 29 that I could see on this guy's armor:

What is the most on any one miniatures armor? No counting skulls on bases or terrain, because that can take things to an unimaginable level. Just armor and wargear carried by the chief miniature of a sculpt.

Good old Nagash has more than that just on his staff IIRC.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Learning that the new figure is based on that older one makes it more interesting to me. I guess I'll hold onto the new one now. It looks five times better than the old one in spite of all of the skulls.

Fortunately the sword in scabbard is a separate bit and can be replaced with something plainer. It looks like you can also leave the cape off and replace the back half of the torso with a plain one from another kit. I haven't opened the clamshell and tried that yet though.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Depending on whether you count it as a "mini" or not, the self-explanatory champion has to be the Lord of Skulls.

I don't know... Nagash has a skull hat with a skull on top, along with a skull staff with a skull on top which has skulls piled on top of it with a skull in between the piles... and then a skull-bat on top of that.

Spoiler:

Oh my lord this is hideous. I hate 'skulls for no good reason, because skulls' and this makes me physically recoil in terror.

Not only are the Lord of Skulls' skulls skull-sized instead of carved decorations, it also looks like it has more skulls on the ram alone.

Whatever the miniature, you can improve it with proper basing

Nagash is horrible, but the skulls are the least of his problems.

Anyone actually counting the number of skulls?

Sheesh, always giving answers with no proof. Argh.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

This.

I think this is the first time GW has updated a model and toned it down.

I think any Khorne based army should have those kind of bases as a requirement!

Last count someone did put the new model at something around ~43-45 IIRC.

He's got 99 problems and skulls are 150 of them?

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
