This is my abaddon. Love this model, specially now its resin rather than metal. I'm pretty happpy with him considering he's my first real character

Thanks buddy. It was a long old slog. I jumped in at the deep end here, but online painting tutorials did the job ha :-P and the base is just random bits of sprue, old credit cards, paint brush tubes and a cut up peice of metal mesh from an ipod dock speaker. I was going to make the effluent a toxic green colour, but I changed it to red to give it more of a horror feel.

Yeah.. Lack of round bases.. :p i'm saving my large round ones for the ogre kindgom models im converting to mutant pit slave type necromunda folk. and as ive done this guy more as an ornamental piece, I figured id just use the square ones I had.. I shouldve just bought more I guess.

On the plus side, the square one works better with the text around the rim.

Nice model man, but just ne thing. Have you thought about drilling the gun barreels out on his arm? It would add alot to the model and its especially noticeable in the first picture. Just a suggestion and I know it would be quite tricky now its all assembled and painted

Yeah. I didnt have a pin vice back then, but i have since rebased and drilled his weapon

I dont mind him. Not the most posable ever but he looks cool. Im xurrently doing all the chaos characters as an unholy council. My fav is definately lucius the eternal. Hence the av haha

Ive actually rebased him since this. Put him on a round one to fit with my other chaos characters. Also started using water effect rather than gs to do liquids.
