Hi all,

I've been trying to work out the best way to fit the extra armour panels and just wanted to ask if anyone else has used them before and how you did it before I go hacking away at my brand new Land Raider...

It seems to me that in order for them to sit flush against the plastic hull, I need to trim off the little footsteps (I think they are) below each door on the hull, there seems to be no recess on the back of the FW plates for these to slot into or anything so I'm assuming they need to be cut off the tank itself?

Hope that makes sense and someone has done the same!

Cheers

Yes, you do.

I found I needed to sand all the excess detail off the outside of the landraider to get them to sit on it anywhere near flat.

(A fellow clubmember bought this stuff for his raider but had ZERO experience working with resin so asked me for help - I ended up having to redo his work for him).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Thanks for your reply, I figured that was the only way to get them to fit at all... Time to get the tools out tonight then!
