HI gents i have been painting flame using this tutorial http://theindependentcharacters.com/blog/?p=3150 - no im trying to get the same effect with blue. I'm happy with the lighter colours - ice blue into white i cant find a dark colour that show up well enough vs the black. what colour would you go for? (my blue range is limited so will have to bye the paint hence i cant test)

This was Enchanted Blue to GW Ice Blue to Ice Blue + white, a few in between tones were mixed from those. Though it might be darker than what you want.
How many models are you painting like this? If it's just a couple, you could just mix it.
