Hello fellow menites!
This is the list I keep throwing at my foes... but somehow I fail to archieve victory most of the time.

Points: 35/35
Feora, Protector of the Flame
* Redeemer (Bonded to eFeora for extra AoE barbecue)
* Crusader
* Vanquisher
Choir of Menoth (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Exemplar Errants (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Exemplar Errant Officer & Standard Bearer
High Paladin Dartan Vilmon
The Covenant of Menoth
Vassal of Menoth x2

In my opinion this list doesn't look that bad on the paper and in the end of the second turn it doesn't look that bad for me. Usually the enemys infantry is engulfed in flames, my errants look threatening as hell and then...
feat turn.
They get the charge, smash into my 'jacks, take out most of my errants and pop their feat somewhere in between the asskicking.
And all I can do is hit back as hard as I can with (best case) half of my force and feat aswell to light the squishy targets on fire and make my Jacks work as they wouldn't have been half crippled.
Guess who wins after the next turn?
(Except against Scyrah. Those elves burn like dry hay .)

So it's either my complete incompetence as a general or I haven't found where the menite secret to victory lies.
Maybe another 'caster? Maybe some units that can do more on their own?
Or is the list fine and I just have to study my opponents factions harder?
I would be thankful for any advice since I'm quite new to Warmachine. And haven't done my homework.
Regards,

As a new player you will lose A LOT against other players who have more games under their belt. That's the nature of this game - players win games, not lists. I'm willing to bet money that you always use Battle with the Choir and Ancillary Attack with your Vassals? Try Passage or Shielding to protect your Jacks, and Enliven to free them from combat. You might want to consider playing to assassinate with eFeora, as well. Pretty much, build up to the feat turn by setting as much stuff on fire as possible and positioning Feora so that she'll be able to get a charge onto your opponent's caster. Use Fire Step to reposition her to avoid free strikes or to get LOS. Pop feat to grab a bunch of focus and she should be able to take down most casters/warlocks due to the amount of attacks generated, along with boosts.

You could also free up a few points from your list for models that can help achieve this. The Paladin solos are great, but you want a Caster who can protect them. Drop Vilmon for a flanking threat like Eiryss - pEiryss can assist in the assassination by dropping focus from a caster.

I'm guessing the Covenant is in the list to give the Errants flaming crossbows? That's cool and all, but they need defensive buffs in order to stay alive. I'd recommend Zealot + UA or TFG+UA with. They both tarpit a bit better, for cheaper, and come with inherent Continuous Fire. If you change these guys to a cheaper infantry option, you can upgrade your Crusader to a Reckoner - who will help out both Feora and the Redeemer with Flare.

The list looks reasonable enough, you could hone it more but it shouldn't be a walk over.

So, then, two things come to mind. Firstly, what are you playing against that's smashing you? There are some lists that can be more difficult match ups for eFeora, but I'd like a few specifics.

Secondly, I'm wondering how you're using your infanry. If you've burnt up his infantry early on, your own infantry should be screening your own jacks from being charged by his beasts/jacks, and should be moving in layered formations so they can't all be charged/attacked at once. I also wonder how you're using your Errants in terms of Self Sacrifice? That's a brilliant defensive ability if used properly, you can take the charge from an enemy unit, then choose models to die who still have enemies waiting to attack them, preventing those attacks from happening. It can also be used to allow them to keep one guy alive in the charge path of an enemy jack, holding the line to prevent your jack from being charged. That said, because eFeora doesn't actually buff them at all, you might consider getting some Zealots with a Monolith Bearer. They work well with casters like Feora, as their one turn of invincibility helps make them excellent jamming infantry even when unbuffed (while unbuffed Errants die quite easily). They're also two points cheaper, that could be used on useful things

As for your list... well, I'd recommend dropping Vilmon (he's better with Harbinger and Vindictus), getting Wracks and upgrading the Crusader to a Reckoner. The Reckoner has a much bigger threat range (12" melee threat, 22" assault gun threat), helping you to get the drop on enemies, rather than being on the receiving end. Wracks are just an excellent point spent, and let Feora camp more focus even while she's powering her jacks.

Anyway, hopefully some of that helped, but we'll still need to hear about how your getting crumped and by what to give you more specific advice
