I'd like some C&C on my AM list. I've played SM and Necrons but never AM/IG. This list is for fun, as I prefer a fluffy army over a winning one. My theme is based slightly off of Tallarn Desert Raiders with Tempestus/Inquisitor advisers and Imperial Navy air support. At my FLGS, I've played SM, CSM, GK, Necrons, and a bunch of Tyranids. I've been able to do well against them all except for the Tyranid players as they both bring tons of synapse and MC's. The biggest flying targets are FMC's, possibly some Nightscythes. Because of this, I was considering bringing in some Hydras, because the Tyranid players always bring dakka-flyrants. I have no wish to bring in an ADL and quadcannon. It just wouldn't fit my style. So, here's the list:
HQ - 366 points
Priests x2 - Attaches to infantry
CCS - Creed, MoO, OoF, medic, standard, vox, carapace, camo, all in a Chimera with ML, HB, camo, dozer blade
Elites - 165 points
Scions - 10 man unit with PS, melta x2,
Troops - 550 points
Infantry PLT x2 - x3 squads with x1 vox, PCS with vox in chimera with ML, HB, camo, dozer blade
Fast Attack - 270 points
Valkyries x2 - ML and rocket pods
Inquisitor - 144 points
Brain Mines, x3 servo skulls, Liber Hersius, TDA with psycannon and daemonhammer,
I push up the board with x2 30 man fearless guard blobs followed by Creed in his chimera. If I can, I'd outflank both platoons. The Scions and Inquisitor are in a Valkyrie to fly in and go after vehicles or MC's. The Valkyries fly around and deal with infantry. I'm trying to find a way to deal with flyrs/FMC's. I would take Vendettas and break into two Scion teams, but that's an additional 70+ points I don't have. I could drop the inquisitor but his servo skulls and ability to do some backfield damage have done me really well in other games. At 1850 I'd take Vendettas and some armour.
