I am really enjoying the new Imperial Guard codex! It has a ton of neat options, and I feel that I can for sure dust off my LRBTs! I got my first game in against a Tyranid player using skyblithe (sp). He had 7 flyers on the board and it was a little rough. I was able to kill several of his monsterous creatures, but I was overall overran by what was in my face. I have taken the list I had, and I altered it a little bit. I am short 111 points of 1850, but I am not sure where I want to go from here.
HQ Company Command Squad
Missle Launcher
Regimental Standard
Tank Commander
Pask
LR Punisher (Pask)
Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Exterminator
Plasma Sponsons
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor
3 servo skulls
Psykotroke and Rad
Psyker
Commissar X 2
Primaris Psyker
Troops Platoon Command Squad

Sabre Platforms X 3
Autocannon X 3
Sabre Platforms X 3
Lascannons X 3
Sabre Platforms X 3
Lascannons X 3
Vet Squad
2 melta
chimera
HS Wyverns x 3
Fortification Sky shield
So the Idea for this list is pretty simple. I will choose my warlord based upon what army I am facing. The Battle Tanks will push up the line putting pressure wherever it is needed. I had great success with Pask killing a flyer per turn (especially if it got grounded by lasguns)! The Exterminator is one of my favorite tanks, I believe the output it has is challenging to almost any unit! Especially with Prescience. The Ordo Xenos Inquisitor will walk up with the Infantry blob causing as much chaos as possible. I will make sure that he gets prescience and run the LRBTs near my inquisitor for the psychic powers. The Commissar , CCS, Primaris Psyker, and the Sabre platforms will sit on the skyshield for the 4 plus invul. The commissars along with the psyker will be attached to each platform to ensure that they are able to receive orders on leadership 9 rather than 7. I have had a lot of success with ignore cover and tank hunter/ monster hunter.
The Vet Squad is there to start pushing up field to grab objectives ( I am a little concerned since it is my only chimera)
The Wyvern are just a blast to play with, no pun intended.
What are your thoughts. We have a local tourney coming up. The only list that usually gives me trouble are Eldar and the Sky blithe list from the Tyranids. I am unsure how to handle the Tyranids list... but I would appreciate any input that you guys may have!

I forgot to mention that the skyshield is to stop the ignore cover bs... so if I am playing against someone without ignore cover, I may put the Sabre platforms in ruins... close in order to issue orders to the Sabre platforms. Automatically Appended Next Post: Any help would be much appreciated!!
