ok so this is my first attempt at necrons so here goes

Trazyn the Infinite ( in immortals night scythe)
Royal Court
Cryptek- Harbinger of despair-viel of darkness ( with deathmarks)
Necron Lord- res orb ( in ghost ark)

10 deathmarks

2 Ghost Arks
2x9 warriors in arks

2 Night Scythes
10 Immortals (Gauss)
9 Immortals (Gauss)

2 Annihilation Barges (Gauss Cannons)
2 Doom scythes

basically I just shoot big stuff with my HS choices my Ghost arks sit midfield laying down massive fire

the deathmarks pick a unit and deepstrike there and say your dead

and the night scythes drop the immortals in his face and blast crap off the table

the court is there as KP denial because you have to get all 3 to kill trazyn

what do yall think???

True....

Do I loose a barge or the doom scythe??

If I only have 1 doom scythe it'll just get destroyed when it comes in

Lose the Doom Scythe.

Re the list, you have your troops safely buttoned up in GA, which is helpful.

Some possible tweaks are
-Why Trazyn? He's comparatively expensive and apart from being scoring (which doesn't matter as he is with scoring immortals) doesn't seem to offer much.
- The res orb lord is probably not worth it - replace with a pair of lanceteks for long range S8 shooting (one for each GA).
- If you are going to take 10 deathmarks, take them in 2 squads of 5, because you can mark twice as many units. Sure, you only have 1 veiltek, but that's ok, you can just DS the other unit.
-The points saved from the Orb Lord, plus the Doom Scythe, buy you another GA with squad, or scarabs, or wraiths or something (maybe Lychguard for Trazyn to hang with). Depends on what models you have left.

so what about losing trazyn and the orb lord and doom scythe and adding lord on command barge

which would leave me with 128poitns which after filling up the warriors and immortals is only 83 points

Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

Drop phylactery since its a very hit or miss wargear upgrade that you most likely won't use.

Drop all the deathmarks but one since you only have one veiltek and throw them in a nightscythe to get close precisely (otherwise known as death and despair squads which are the only real reason to take deathmarks in competitive games).

CCB lords aren't the best options for HQ but seeing as you want crypteks you might as well keep him.

One Doom Scythe will get focused down easy like you already said so I would just drop it for another A.Barge.

If you plan to use the immortals in combat during the game then your good to go but if you plan to turtle them in the night scythes till its time to score I would recommend swapping them for 5 warriors each since they are cheap and don't waste combat potential sitting in the air all game.

I would be tempted to drop a warrior off each squad as well to make room for some lanceteks or stormteks in their (if you go lanceteks remember to grab a solar pulse).

I'm not sure where you will be after all those changes but hopefully you can work with the suggestions I've given. I've tried to keep your list as competitive as possible while still retaining the feel to it and not just turning your list into wraithwing (the most competitive necron build out there atm)

With the revised list, too many deathmarks as GumyBear has said . 1x5 would be fine.

I think you can keep the doomscythe, because you have a couple of night scythes to accompany it. If you were going to dump it, I would replace with 3 spyders to go with the scarabs.

CCB Lord fits your armoured theme, but GumyBear is correct...phylactery probably not worth it. Somewhat unusually, I generally recommend CCB lords with orbs and weave because it makes them more survivable and a bit more flexible once the barge dies. The orb could be particularly useful as you can drop immortals for him to join from one of the scythes.

In terms of spare points, a stalker would fit your armoured theme, and immortals would love being twin linked, particularly if they were tesla.

Hey OP,
How about you post a new list of what you've got, taking into account all the advice you've received?
(or at least edit your initial post so we can see where things currently stand)

Vieltek

5 death marks

20 warriors
2 ghost Arks
20 immortals
2 night scythes

2 doom scythes

This gets me 1770 points and idk what to add

I was thinking maybe a big squad of wraiths with whip coils?? Maybe some scarabs with that

Like 6 wraiths with 2 whip coils?? Or would something else work better??

A bit of combat power wouldn't hurt, so wraiths with whip coils is a good idea.

I'm not sure if you already have models for this list, or if you are buying them? If you are buying them, I'd suggest a couple of battleforces as a base, which would leave you with spare warriors and 10 scarab bases.

You could add more warriors and make 20 of them walk, (supported by a pair of ghost arks this would be hard to put down) or add 5 scarabs, plus three spyders. (From the battleforces you'll have 10 scarab bases).

It's not a low cost list that you have there!

Yea I'm planning on buying it but Idc about cost I just want good lol

You're welcome and lucky you!

If you want good, then you need to pick up another Anni Barge (or 2 for a total of 3). There is no point having an empty HS slot. To fit it, trim the immortals.

I generally run 2 AB with 3 Spyders in my HS slot, but that's because I generally don't like having reserves unless I have some means of controlling when they come in.

If you want to have Trazyn, get a box of Lychguard/praetorians. That's a handy (but points expensive unit) in a scythe, plus the spare bits are fantastic for kitbashing some more crypteks (or lords).

I suspect that at some point you will want a destroyer lord. Tip is to buy the box of three. If you have a Lych box, you can use the bits from there to make a up a couple of destroyer lords because the AB box has plastic hands with orbs.

No worries!

One more tip.

If you keep some warrior legs and chests spare, you can actually make the Deathmarks and the Immortals from the same box. Use warrior legs and chests for the Deathmarks because the gun hides most of the chest anyway.

Stick the warrior chest in the centre of the Deathmark back (you'll need to just trim the back of the warrior chest, but leave the neck support!). All you need to do then is just carve out the shoulder socket a little so the arm fits.

The warrior legs look a little scrawny, but if all your deathmarks are the same, it's fine.

Use any spare deathmark heads for crypteks - use deathmark head on warrior body - just hunch it over a bit more and add wierd staff etc to taste. I used leftover praetorian backs trimmed up for my crypteks just to differentiate, but any leftover pieces will do (eg lych shields - they would make any awesome back).

I've got a couple pics in my gallery, but really need to update them!
