GW are doing exactly what everyone wants, bringing rules into line. Compiling FAQ, errata and other main rules books into one BRB.
I for one welcome more content and a new rule book every two years would suit me just fine.

Two years is actually a very long time, if it feels like only yesterday to you that 6th was released, then perhaps you need to fill your life with more meaningful activities and adventures.
If you have had issues learning the rules or 'grasping' 6th edition, then I would walk away if i were you, turn your back on this hobby and never look back, if you can't 'grasp' the rules in this amount of time the you never will.
That goes for those of you complaining about the cost of the books also, they are product of quality, quantity and amazing content leading the way in the world of miniatures and priced appropriately in line with the graphic novels or even RPG games systems.
If you can't afford GW products or don't like their actions, then let your purchasing power do the talking and... stop buying GW products.
One last thing, anyone who complains about pricing of the model packs, go and compare the £70 super heavies with the £150 equivalents from other games systems. Then come back and apologise.

PS: If you are one of the people complaining about buying a collectors edition and it now be invalidated 'so soon', I pity you, no amount of education or support will ever be able to lift you out of mindless void that you currently inhabit.
I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."
"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I still haven't seen any 'proof' that this "7th Ed" is going to be anything more than the rules all compiled into one book. Let's save the hyperbole for when we actually find out what's going on.

Because I doubt anybody has seen the rulebook yet.
Leaking information that stuff is shipping, release schedules need to be prepared, etc.., is one thing.
Leaking information from inside the pages of the book is another.
Given the widespread confusion, it would seem that the first has so far happened, the second has not.

Care to name a single game with £150 injection moulded plastic 'superheavies'?
Surprisingly, this doesn't appear to be a troll account.
Which makes it all the more sad....

nope, I literally cannot think of a single game that REQUIRES the purchase of a baneblade, Knight etc
Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
To the OP:
These unhelpful suggestions will go a long way with your target audience.
Too late to stop buying completely since I STARTED buying when they were way more awesome then, than now.
Too fully invested in the models so putting out a new rulebook is kinda mandatory to play for "pick-up" games.
Might be Kirby with the fresh from the net post count.

Maybe Kirby had an intern use the computer for him to get him on a webzone where he could talk about how great GW is.
"Get me on this new fangled interwebz thing."
"Yes, sir." types furiously on keyboard. "Sir, here's a forum where they talk about the Hobby."
"Excellent. Now, dictate everything I say. If you make a typo, I'll cut off your right hand."
"Thank you sir."
