I took 2 Spiritseers to increase my chances of getting Protect. One has The Spirit Stone of Anath'lan so that he can cast both Voice of Twilight, and whatever else he rolls on the same turn. The other has The Wraithforge Stone to help keep the Wraithknight alive, as he will be my warlord. Both Spiritseers will footslog with the Wraithblades. Warp Spiders will probably Deep Strike, depending on terrain and who wins the first turn roll off. I threw Night Vision on the Crimson hunter because my list came up 10 points short.

For a non competitive list it is fairly strong.

Only thing I would change would be to drop night vision from the hunter exarch. It is pretty rare that it will ever come up. Could get marksman's eye, which is also pretty uncommon, or maybe marksman's eye on either spider exarch. Drop the glaive as well for the spear of tehulas on a spiritseer?

I like the design of this one. I played with a unit of 10 footslogging wraiths (with cannons however) and the Wraithseer combo a couple games back and it performed really well vs Marines. FNP (4+) on T6 troops is so durable, especially if you make more than %50 of those rolls and/or have protect. I have no issues with buying them a serpent they won't fit in. It's just a good unit to have on the table.

List looks awesome to me. I'd play it in a heartbeat

Looking to build a similar army list without the spiders and adding some more wraithguard.

10 wraithguard can't fit into a waveserpent, they are bulky

I doubt he was planning on it, its probabally there just for an extra gun boat.

Also i do believe that you cant have artifacts from the eldar book and the iyanden book at the same time.
Only thing I would change is the wraithlord. I really want them to work ,and have fielded them many times with different strategies and in different scenarios, but every time one prevailent problem comes up, its mobility. Its just to slow. Never reached combat, and with only 3 wounds is easily killed.

The limit is actually 1999 (not +1) so, I cant take any 10 point upgrades unless I drop the Ghostglaive. I'd like to keep it for the S10 in combat. (combined with Voice of Twilight)

You can indeed have artifact from different books, just not on the same character. I agree with you on the Wraithlord, they do tend to be pretty poor. However, as this is a more "for fun" list i think I might keep him. I'm hoping that the other two T8 MC's on the board and the T6 blob will distract them from the lowly Wraithlord!

Some things that came to mind:

1. Warp Spiders. Am I better of with the two small squads, or one maxed squad?
2. Wraithforge Stone. Is it worth 30 points? I'm thinking about dropping it for the Guardian Helm.
3. Wraithlord. Should i keep the BLs, or go with something like Scatter/Star?
4.Wraithseer. Is the D-cannon worth 40 points?

I like to run my spiders in 2 groups of 5. Able to knock out 2 tanks (back armor) when coming in from reserve, but really bith are great.

personally, I think this is another area that should be changed in the rules...buying a transport for a unit that can't fit inside!! Razorbacks are OK due to combat sqds rule.

Personally, I'm a Falcon fan, but that's just because it looks amazing, rather than it's effectiveness compared to the wave serpent.

I'm not sold on the serpents, for the cost you can get 4 units of rangers with points to spare, or 4 units of bikes with points to spare (only more so).

Why? Because the 2 serpents will be targeted by EVERY AT weapon in their list, so 4 more troops, or even another WK would be better IMO.

I didn't think you could actually buy a dedicated transport for the unit unless it had the transport capacity for all the members of the unit...

Why? Theres a wraith seer, a wraith knight, and a wraith lord saturating the Anti tank. And those serpents wont be heading strait toward the enemy like the wraiths.
