My eldar take on the necrons in this 1500 point game of the relic with vanguard strike deployment. I have never been able to beat necrons before so lets hope this one goes better.

The way to kill scarabs is with templates. I would have went after them with the swooping hawks. Should have been able to kill most if not all of them in one turn. Or doesn't the Warp hunter have a torrent/template weapon? I always take fast shot on the avatar as well. 10 points well worth it.

Your farseer always gets wasted. Do serpent shields and scatter lasers instant kill scarabs? I thought they doubled them out. I feel like your focus fire was pretty weak this game. He didn't have much res orb support so you should have been knocking down entire units instead of chipping away. Wraith guard could have probably used a serpent more than the guardians. I am not sure if you tried to out flank the rangers but coming in behind him you could have tried for some rear armor on those tanks.

I just keep allowing him to get into dangerous situations. probably because hes always leading the assault (not a good idea). I always forget how powerful scarabs are, they are just so tiny though.

Yes everything the serpent can shoot will insta gib a scarab base. Take one turn of wave serpent shooting targeted at the scarabs, and youll wipe the whole squad.

Yep, your serpents can wipe out the scarabs with ease. Bad luck with the a. barge, even with guide. Hawks are great against crons, just had some bad luck.
