Seems like there's gonna be a tournament in our area and a friend of mine is going to be attending it. This is pretty much his first time attending such an event and my 2nd time.

From what I know of his 1000 pt Guard list, it'll consist of

1 Leman Russ
2 Vendettas.
A blob of conscripts with a priest and commissar.
An infantry platoon and a scattering of Heavy Weapons.
And a Veteran Squad with some loadouts.

For myself, I don't know what to use to support it.

Option 1 Could be:

Herald of Tzeentch
3 Nurglings
3 Nurglings
18 Flesh Hounds
18 Flesh Hounds
18 Flesh Hounds.

Pure rush to tie up front opponents, keep the objectives in our backfield, and provide wound saturation. Easily killable Warlord and useless Troops though.

Option 2 however is:

Lord of Change w/ all Rewards, all Mastery Levels.
18 Flesh Hounds
17 Flesh Hounds
10 Pink Horrors
3 Nurglings.

A fair amount of bodies, but with another flier that doubles as buffer and combat beast. Maybe the Exalted Reward for a Portal Glyph or just 2 Greater Rewards for survivability.


Which one would you guys say would be better support?
