I'm attempting to make a shield for my Tau units that have shields and am having some issues with cutting the clear acrylic material. The dremel tool is too much and melts it on contact. The tried scoring it with an exacto knife and it cracks and chips. I painted a hex pattern on it and am looking to create hard smooth lines on the edges of the outer hexes. I'm out of ideas on how to accomplish this now and would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks.

Saw it just outside of your lines, then clean up with a file or emery board. The abrasion will leave the outer edges frosted, but fine sanding and a coat of gloss varnish will get them clear again.
