I Love the new models for the Ogryns and Bullgruns but I am waiting to see if there are any uses for them...Anyone came up with an interesting way to use them?

I was thinking that the bullgryns could be fun to shield a thank commander but is it cost effective, not so sure about that...Since I am not an Experienced player, I am turning to this amazing forum for an possible solution.

Love buying but hate models that are only gathering dust....

Tks guys

Friend of mine used Bullgyrns to shield his troops behind them from Tyranid icky stuff. He advanced to the middle of the table to pick up the relic, but wanted to try some other stuff and lost the game. The Bullgryn shield-wall was quite good - 3+ armour and +1 cover to people behind? Quite good.

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

He means that the Bullgryns have a 3+ save, but a lack of a comma meant that he accidentally also included the 1+ cover to those behind the Bullgryns in the same statement.

It's the same simple mistake as "Let's eat, grandma!" vs "Let's eat grandma!" only a bit less morbidly hilarious. That being said if what he said were the case Bullgryns would sell like hot cakes.

I personally wish Bullgryns could take power weapons/assault 2 grenade launchers with the second choice of weapon being eviscerators.

So we ran some house-rules to get that to happen and it works fine, much like power bayonets on regular Ogryns.

Still, I think Bullgryns are workable, but are mostly more of a fun unit than a serious thing.
