Hi, so been working on my dark eldar list for competitive play, i know its never gonna be top table material, but looking to build to have a chance in the current meta at local tournaments;

so heres my list,

Archon
shadowfield, huskblade, venom blade

Haemonculus
crucible of malediction, husk blade
Haemonculus
clone field
Haemonculus
Huskblade, venomblade

8 Hekatrix bloodbrides
2 shardnet + impaler
raider, night shields, enhanced aethersails

4 grotesques
abberration, venom blade
raider, night shields, enhanced aethersails, retrofire jets

5 wracks, venom - extra splinter cannon, night shields
5 wracks, venom - extra splinter cannon, night shields
5 kabalites, venom - extra splinter cannon, night shields
5 kabalites, venom - extra splinter cannon, night shields

Razorwing jet fighter, flickerfield

7 reavers, 2 x cluster caltrops, 2 x heat lance

so the archon and haemonculus go with the hekatrix bloodbrides to go hunting after wraithknights etc, ive got the crucible haemonculus to deal with psykers deathstars screamer councils etc who is in the raider with grotesques, if playing hammer and anvil will deepstrike the raider to alpha drop these army lists other 2 missions start on the board and move up, ive got plenty of scoring units, anti air, anti tank, and plenty of anti infantry shots, just would like some advice on the list and anyway of improving it.

Lances and Blasters! No replacement in a DE list for lots of 8/2 artillery!

DE Vehicles just get chewed up so fast, when I was running my raider army, I made a goal of having cleared 70% of my opponent's heavy weapons by end of T2. I have written/played many lists that look like yours, but always with far more 8/2 weapons.

I haven't played a mechDE list in sixth ed. yet, but I can't imagine that much has changed. Kabalite Trueblood (only need 1 unit) with 4 blasters, properly maneuvered will make a big problem. I tend to prefer raiders to Venoms, especially if you have assault troops and bikes that can manhandle cheap infantry.

Froth at the top, dregs at the bottom, but the middle - excellent

More blasters.......yes......maybe, but i don't feel lances are a must anymore with the lack of tanks in the meta, and also dizzi cannons do a great job at killing teq, your point about DE vehicles getting chewed up so fast means how can you rely on blasterborn, they will be a priority target, and once popped out of there transport will get wiped in no time, but i could maybe put blasters on the 2 kabalite squads, also i might consider one unit of wracks to be a unit of wyches for more anti- tank. MechDE has gotten weaker, but there is no other way of playing DE footslogging is not an option, HP mean your vehicles are going down even to bolters, very quickly. But as long as you have a descent board with some LOS blocking pieces your generally going to be ok.

The Twilight Zone

Your list is OK, and depending on your meta may work but as is your very short on AT. Any decent mech army will blast you off the table with ease.

The archon is OK, but if you have the huskblade, spring for a soul trap, maybe drugs as well.

Hamey's only need venom blades and liquifiers. The crucible is fantastic against psykers, but that is all you need. Crucible of malediction and the shattershard are also fun toys, but hamey's should never take huskblades, and can't take clone fields.

If you really want to run bloodbrides, they do make a decent tarpit unit, but they can't hurt a wraithknight, so keep that in mind. Your nets and venom blades should do it, but they are not as effective as just using mass poison and darklight. At least give them haywire grenades in case they need to help with AT.

Grotesques are ok as well, but take a liquifier gun in the unit.

Your troops are OK, but to sure up the AT, blasters in the kabbie squads would help. Liqiufier guns would help the wracks do something besides score.

Razorwing is fine. Reavers only need to be in groups of six, and caltrops+AT guns is overkill. Just stick to heat lances, you are fine enough with bladevane attacks.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

If they take huskblade and venomblade tho that means 2+ to wound insta-death so what's not worth it, you are right that haemis cant take clone field don't know how that got in my head, i think haemis taking huskblades is descent too, if in facing triple wraithknight it gives me flexibility, i don't really like liquifier guns as there random, but i know they can be good, ive changed the list anyway now and put in sliscus as hq, but cheers for the help.
