So, I decided to convert the Citadel Fine Cast Tech-marine model to make my Iron Hands Chapter Master. Here is the progress so far.

Parts that are in use: the Iron Halo and back pack vents from the Saint Celestine cape, The thrust vents from a Sisters of Battle Seraphim Backpack, the left arm from a Space Wolves set, and a shoulder pad from the GW Iron Hands squad upgrade pack.

I wanted to make something that was just a little more unique than just the Tech-marine body. I have another Tech-marine already that has a similar body, stance and overall apprentice. I wanted to have the axe re-positioned from the original, so that it wasn't so much a "walking stick" as it was, and have it look as though it were slightly more in motion.

The backpack was a spur of the moment idea. I was staring at the resin pack, hating the little lighthouse thing that was on it, and trying to figure out how to cover up the servo-arm attachment spots, when I just decided to cut it all off and go from there. Right after doing that I remembered that I still had a bunch of Sisters parts sitting around from some earlier conversions, luckily it all seamed to fit where i wanted it to.
