Welcome to the Adeptus Astartes! First of all, is there a particular reason you're interested in Black Templars? If so, I'd be happy to try and help keep the list as such and focus on their strengths. If not, are there any units you really want to use?

From my limited knowledge of Templars I would say that you should use Armor Saturation. Terminators and Emporers Champ in a Land Raider with a few 10 or 5x Man Squads in Rhinos. You can then add a Vindicator or two, Stormtalons, and a Scout Squad to hold an Objective.

I'll just assume you want to stick to the Black Templars theme.. I'd play to their strengths which are MSU with nice weapon load outs (heavy and special in a 5-man) and Challenges. Because the characters get rerolls in challenges I'd make sure to capitalize on that. Here's a list I out together that's both fluffy and decent:

Chapter Master - bike, artificer armor, shield eternal, thunder hammer

Captain - artificer armor, storm shield, thunder hammer, auspex

Crusader Squad - Initiates x10 w/power axe and close combat weapons, Neophytes x4 w/melta gun and shotguns, Sword Brother w/power axe, Land Raider Crusader w/multimelta

Crusader Squad (5) - plasma gun, lascannon

Bike Squad (5) - grav x2, combi-grav, melta bombs

Scout Squad (5) - bolters, land speeder storm w/heavy flamer

Stormtalon - Skyhammer missiles
Stormtalon - Skyhammer missiles

Some notes:

The bike squads are nice right now with grav seeing as they pack a punch against high toughness units, MCs, armor value 2, and are fast scoring units if the Warlord is on a bike.

The LRC is fluffy and packs a nasty surprise with the captain taking a challenge, leaving the power axes to do some damage. I gave them assault guns and an auspex to help them thin out the enemy prior to the charge.

Hope that helps at least conceptually!
