So i was looking on ebay for warmahordes stuff and found a decent LoEB set for like 45 dollars including shipping. It comes with the 2player battlebox set for Legion.

Ogrun warspear, Shredders, Carni and Lylyth. I suppose pretty standard for starting lists.

Im looking towards a heavy ranged list. how would i ease into that with this makeup?

My thoughts would be epic level Lylyth2, Nyss striders with ua a ravagore. what else would be needed for this?

keep in mind im not familiar with points just yet, the cards and the models for the starter set are on the way here.

Oh and the UA for the warspears i suppose is a must, keeping it melee friend what is a good warlock option?

Good...Bad... Im the guy with the, GUN!

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

Yup, the Warspears really need the UA.

Legion does ranged very well.

Typically you'll see a pair of Ravagores, a Naga, and then a couple melee heavies(Angelii, Carnivean, or Scythean. The Angelius and Carnivean also have ranged attacks too.)

Then you'll have a pair of Shepherds and 1-2 Forsaken for Fury management.

Plus you'll have the obligatory Shredder(or 2) purely to hand out Tenacity.

You should magnetize all your heavy kits so you can swap between beasts on the same body. Its very efficient and easy.

If you want to start banging out lists, this site is pretty good. http://www.forwardkommander.com/

With your choices, here is a basic 50 point list I made up on Forward Kommander.

Lilyth2
-Shredder
-Angelius
-Carnivean
-Ravagore
-Ravagore

Nyss Striders with UA
Shepherd
Shepherd
2 Spell Martyrs

The Shepherds help manage your Fury, you will be running very hot but they can basically keep 2 of your beasts clear of Fury so Lilyth only has to manage the other 3.

The Spell Martyrs are for Lilyth to cast Pincushion from a safe distance. its a great spell if you can tag a key enemy model with it and light it up, but you are exposing Lilyth to do it. The Martyr alleviates that problem.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
