Discriminating Deathmark Assassin

Just wondering what templates everyone uses for their army lists. I am no Excel/Word whizz, but would like my army lists for tournaments etc to have all my USRs, stats, points costs etc, so as to avoid referencing books loads and also so that my opponent has a fair understanding of all my USRs etc so they dont feel cheated if I pull a legit (cheesy) move.
Does anyone have a great template that they'd like to share? Or a link to an online resource - I've been googling, but yet to find anything both really good and simple!

There are a couple of options. I initially used a spreadsheet, but only put in statline and wargear for the units.
Then I tried Army Builder, it was nice but 40 bucks was a littel steep.
After searching around more I discovered battlescribe. You need catalogues for it, which you can either find online, or make yourself (making them is time consuming but not too difficult). The only thing is, if you download them there is no guarantee that all the information you want is available. Most of the ones I've seen list what rules/wargear a model has, their starts and weapon stats. If you make your own, you can include what the rules actually do.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

I use Microsfot onenote, as it came with my laptop, so when i have free time during school (or time when the teacher is elsewhere..hehe) i'll whip out a pdf of a codex and write an army list on onenote.

I've used Excel for forever, but I also like other offerings depending on the game.
For 40k and Fantasy, Battlescribe is good, but depends heavily on the catalogue. Some people design them well, some feel like they've been written by a spastic monkey on work experience.
Also actually finding catalogues is like infiltrating some weird underground cult at times. Suggestions to go to websites that you need to register at to get another link for another website that had the catalogue but now redirects you to a dark, dingy basement that you just don't want to enter.
