So I'm trying to find the Kill Team rules and I'm hearing two things:

1) They're free and can be found on a website.

2) You have to pay for them... somehow.

I'm sorry if this is a question with a very obvious answer but I don't want to accidentally download something illegally.

Anyone know where they are?

They used to be free on GW’s site. Then they released a new version, which they are charging for. Pretty sure you can get in the the same places you can get other digital GW products. iBooks and the black library website.

There are fan-made rulesets under the same name, usually due to a similar scale. I've played the Heralds of Ruin rules, and they are good fun. Not sure if you'd get away with using them in a GW store, though.

You still need the GW rulebook and respective codice to play, but the rules are intuitive and the game enjoyable.
