So I found some models I had bought, assembled and later forgot all about roughly 3 years ago and decided to finish them and give them a go.

I have 2 of each starter set for both Japanese Sectorial and Caledonian Sectorial + a few models i bought later on.

Is there any advantage/disadvantage in playing sectorial over the whole faction?

Can the models I have be somehow worked into an effective list or should I be looking for different units to expand upon?

Here's what I have. The format is just because most of the posts I see in this section use it.

Buongiorno e benvenuto.

To answer your questions.

Yes Sectorials have advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that you can link certain troops. The main disadvantage is that you have a limited selection of troops compared to the vanilla faction. I would recommend that you play a few games at 150 points with a 'vanilla' force before tackling the link team/fire team rules.

Those models will be fine for you while you are learning the game. You can always use them as proxies for other units that you would like to try out. As you get a better idea about what you like, and how you want your armies to be, then you can add more miniatures to it.

The format is fine. Most of us use Army Builder 4 or Aleph Toolbox, https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aleph-toolbox/hfgdhiehdeeajkmemembkhlfhkndbdil?hl=en for planning armies.
