I'm looking at each of these like little dioramas. Most Giant Rat units don't seem... Right. To me. No offense to anyone but they always seem to be missing something, look too clean and uniform all in a nice little line. So I'm trying a different approach.

I'm re-writing the old Hell Pit rules (slowly) in another thread, and I was inspired by the description of the "breeding pens" of Hell Pit waaaay back in White Dwarf 310. ""great cobbled halls strewn with blood-slick straw, shot through with cockroaches and fleas." Bases like that I had never seen, and they had a distinct "horrifying infested laboratory" sort of feel you'd expect to see in Hell Pit. I also went with a real "dingy" feel, I'm trying something new for their look.

Here are my attempts. The bases are from a custom mold I made, and milliput. If anyone's interested in the process, I'll type it out later.

Any comments/critique/ideas are welcome!

Orkses is never defeated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!
