I was thinking about picking up a squad of Tauros Venators for one fast attack slot. Does anyone have experience on how a Tauros Venator performs vs an armored sentinel?
I will use either choice for troop harassment and light vehicle hunting.

Generally, they're pretty expensive; once you've paid for the Venator upgrade and the Lascannon you're looking at 65pts each, 20pts more if you want to give them Hunter-Killers. Personally, I'd keep them cheap, maybe 2x with Lascannons but you could take Sentinels for cheaper, with better weapon variety.

Tauros:
+Faster (12'' move, guaranteed 6'' flat out, means you can escape, reposition and gun for side arcs/best flamer positions)
+Lower model profile (Harder to shoot, easier to get cover)
+Gun is twinlinked on the Venator (Actually far more significant than you'd think)
+Probably more points efficient in terms of firepower
+Potentially great if FW ever let them take Augur Arrays

Armoured Sentinel:
+Larger profile (Easier to give your vehicles behind it cover saves)
+Can lock units in CC in squadrons for generally at least a turn or two
+Also works as an anti-charge barrier that simultaneously does the above
+Adapatable (If you move them into position and their prime target is killed before they fire, they can pivot in the shooting phase to give their best armour to the next biggest threat If I remember correctly)
+Cheaper

Just off the top off my head

Thanks for the input guys. Does anyone know of a battle report with Tauros in it? I have found several Elysian reports but they are all valkyrie heavy.
