So, in the past I've been pretty much all GW paints. However, I've found over time that the quality isn't there and they dry out really fast. Plus mixing paints is a lot harder.

As I got into Flames of War, I picked up the paint sets they had and I'm really really loving the dropper style paint pots. I've done a few StuG's, some Nebelwerfers, and a pair of PaK 40s, and I'm currently working on a unit of 5 Panzer IVs and I fear I may be running low on my Middlestone. Not wanting to limit myself to just battlefront my question is below:

How closely does Vallejo's middlestone match battlefront's middlestone?

The Battlefront paint sets used to be re-branded Vallejo paints and whether they still are or not, I do not know.

I would guess that the colors are most likely pretty close if not an exact match.

Yeah, more research showed a connection between Vallejo and their stuff, and the bottles and naming conventions are all very similar. I did find a sight where people thought there was going to be shift but I could not find confirmation of that.

Still are - if you notice, the paint numbers for Battlefront match the paint numbers for Vallejo Model Color.

Plus on the back of the bottles that have the flames of war logo you will find the Vallejo logo
