A simple question, I think. Have you played using the rules from "Death from the Skies" book? Personally, I haven't played with the rules due to me never owning a flier until recently.

Just once. Bought Fighter Ace for one of my Remoras (forgot to use, though) and a friend wanted to try the maneuvers for DE Void Bomber. He couldn't because I had no Flyers on the table at the moment and when the remoras entered, destroyed his flyer. I like Fighter Ace (a bit expensive, however).

No. The rules are stupid and should never be used under any circumstances. Thank god it was an optional expansion so we could all just ignore it.

Technically anyone that has played 6e with flyers has played using at least some of the rules from Death from the Skies.
Perhaps you'd be better off qualifying exactly what you mean.
For example, you could have a poll: "Who bought the Death from the Skies expansion?" Or, you could get a bit more specific, "Has anyone played the Fighter Aces?

Never played with the Fighter Ace rules from Death from the Skies.
Because the rules looked epicly stupid on their face, and using them costs WAY too much of an upgrade.
It might be fun if you and your opponent both bring a very flier-heavy force to the table, and agree to pay the flier ace upgrade for everyone.

I think the flyers from the new SM codex are copy-pasted from the DFTS book, so I guess that counts.

What I meant was that has anyone actually used the book as a whole, such as the dogfighting rules and such. Not just one specific thing.

I think most people knew what he was talking about judging by the responses. But it's still pretty funny to see how unpopular that ruleset was.

I'm somehow failing to understand how my question was confusing. Was it too broad or something?
Edit: Oh, I see what's wrong. I goofed on the writing for the title and the poll question.
