So, these are a bit nuts... Sheets of parts that can be used as regular brass detailing, or assembled into 3d components that are a little finer than can usually be cast.

Scifi/modern sheet:

Fantasy sheet:

And this:

(Not for sale, so far as I know. 1st place at UK GD2009 Warhammer single minature)

You can find out all about Etch-Master here, and buy the current sheets here.

That does look good.
And, if it's at 393% if the funding level in 2 days, it's going to have a lot of stretch goals met.

This does look like a great. Idea for modellers and painters out there! I think I'm in, but want to see the details of what the scifi sheet can build....

Well there are 2 guns. The anti-material rifle builds up from 5 pieces, plus carry handle, bipod bits, etc.

The swords and axe heads are sided, which is a bit sad as you therefore need 2 sheets to make one double headed axe.

I'm currently in for 2 sheets, a sci-fi and a BattleZone sheet, although I may have to figure out how to increase my pledge to 4 once I find out what the post-apoc/horror sheet looks like.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." Hopefully it will help to inspire others as well. There is relatively little in this realm that is specific to wargames, but a lot of ground that can be covered with them.

I've been doing my own photo etched parts for years, and I really prefer the way they look compared to clunky casts for a lot of things like blades, shields and the like.

Designs are not too difficult once you work out the particulars of the manufacturing methods (about the same learning curve as designing laser cut products).

One change (or addition) I would recommend to them though is to do weapons (especially fire arms) as mixed kits. They can do the stock and receiver assemblies as etched brass and then use hollow brass tubing for the barrels. By leaving a thin piece on the receiver - it can slide into the barrel to make assembly easier. It also makes for some excellent gattling guns.

I'm in for 8, hopefully well see more bits and pieces you can add for custom buildings. Trim moldings, windows, doors, computer screens mounted on walls, pipes, balcony/platform for an apartment building.

I've got a number of similar things designed for model railroading. Great stuff, durable and easy to remove from their frame. Very clean detail too.

I've now upped my pledge to 6, as I'm hoping he can get up to 5K and will therefore release some 54mm scaled stuff.
