So Hatred says that you can re-roll in the first round of combat. What is the first round of combat?

Exactly that. The turn a unit charges in is the first round

the round in which either the unit with hatred charges or is charged, unless they were already engaged in combat. it's the first round of each combat they fight, so if they charge something, they get the rerolls, then if they win & overun, then get charged by the opponent next turn whilst not being engaged in combat, they get to use hatred again in the first round of combat.

Okay. I didn't understand if it meant that or the first initiative step that action is taken in.
