I'm playing my first game of IG in almost 10 years this Sunday, and I needed to come up with a list quick. I am not sure how to put together a list at this time.

Please pick this apart. We're going with 1500 points and this is just a rough draft based on the models I currently have. I could add more tanks and drop something else.

Not bad, not much anti flyer though. I'd put te meltas in he Lascannon squads and the GLs with the heavy bolters for more synergy

Also, don't take sponsons on the demolisher. It can't even snap fire plasma sponsons. Lascannon is ok to give it something too shoot till the big daddy gets in range. With the points, add a third armoured sentinel, or replace the armoured sentinels with a flyer.

The demolisher has the heavy rule so when its main gun(ordnance) fires everything else snap fires. So dont give it any weapon upgrades. keep it stock with the hull heavy bolter.

CCS hangs back of course and orders the HWS. I got rid of the vox since it won't help with orders on them. Ignores cover or tank hunters are the best for them.

Psyker hangs with the infantry squads with heavy bolters or somewhere he can prescience the executioner or a HWS.

You could drop the last sentinel to get another lvl1 divination psyker which would be handy.

Ok. your list isnt awful especially for not playing in 10 years. you would probably fair pretty well with it. If its not super competetive i would say go with what you have and find out what works for you and your play style with your friends, or your local gamers.

As for feedback. If it were me. I would drop the voxs. I would drop the MoO, his barrage scatters so terribly that he hardly ever hits anything.

I would change the melta platoon into melta vets. the ones already in chimeras with meltas. drop a PCS to make up the 20 point difference and add in a 3rd melta on each, or maybe cheap carapace.

Give the chimera to the other PCS or the CCS that this PCS was in and go with 4 flamers in the PCS it is very effective at clearing off an objective last turn to deny or possible steal/contest.

The lascannons on the vanilla russes will always be snap firing they are a waste of points.

Consider a second psyker, or lord commisar to keep around your static units. Also give the vets in your CCS some weapons that will be more useful. if your not moving around much snipers are a good investment, if youre moving alot GL are cheap and add a bit of punch. the 1 lascannon isnt much when you already have so much anti tank elsewhere.
