I was wonder what the community thinks about basing a defiler. After finishing it for the most part I was thinking of basing it any opinions ? More pic in Gallery if you need to see them ?

It's pretty much just a walking tank so I don't see a reason to base it, unless it was part of a display or something.

Plus, it doesn't come with one so I wouldn't bother.

And some, I assume, are good people."

You don't need to base a defiler, so I wouldn't.

I'd only bother basing one if it had such an unusual pose it couldn't stand up stably otherwise, which is not the case with yours. Or if it was a display model only.

As there is no official base, adding one can actually make gaming more difficult, as rules pedants may start long boring arguments re base-to-base contact: "Ooh, you've given yourself an unfair 7mm advantage, that's cheating'" etc

Basing defilers make them a pain to stick in terrain, there's no real reason to do it. What you should do though is give the bottom of their legs and supporting claws where they rest on the tabletop a good solid varnishing. This will keep down the wear and tear of them constantly being dragged over things.

Thank You all for the feedback. It was something that just crossed my mind. Baseless it is then. =)

The best thing about nurgle defilers is putting them in area terrain to receive cover save buffs.
