This project has been sitting in the corner for over ten months now, but finally decided to continue with it. So i'm making a themed army based on the army of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. The theme comes from conversions and paint scheme more than from the units themselves, but my choises in characters are basically the three men helping Daenerys, and then Daenerys herself. Great eagles are the dragon babies and the flame phoenix represents the sigil of house Targaryen, a three headed dragon (converted from a hydra with added wings). So on to the army itself:

Comments welcome about the theme, but also about the list. I am not aiming for super competitive play, but more as a fluffy and nice looking army.

It will be an interesting theme, i will give you that. Although to be honest, if you didn't tell me the theme, there is little to no way i would be able to tell who is who. For example Barristan Selmy, one of the most well honored knights in Westeros who has won more single duels then anyone in living history...is a mage? No, that shouldn't be.

I also don't think Allariel represents Dany well, she is to powerful a mage and her choice of lore doesn't run well with her. Just because Dany leads her army doesn't mean she has to 'lead' it, it would make more sense to me to include a Dragon Mage to represent her astride Drogon. Her aptitude for fire would be obvious but make sure to take the dragon helm ''because fire cannot hurt a dragon''.

Another example is Daario was never really portrayed relying heavily on Armour, while Jorah on the other hand was portrayed as his armour winning most fights for him. These guys should swap position.

For the unsullied i think P.Guard represent them best, as they are shown to favor pike weaponry and it would also let you introduce Greyworm as a Chosen as Asuryan. I personally don't think the Phoenix fits well, kind of breaks the image of a realistic force (with dragons...) and i am not sure what the Sword Masters represent (Daario's Mercenaries?).

It's a great theme with a lot to work with, but if you want to get on this, then you have to do it all the way.

Ok, the theme ignored, how does the list look from a playing perspective. Will it be an auto-lose in every matchup, or does it have a fighting chance in friendly/semi-competive matchups?

It's not terrible...I would do 2 14 man blocks of swordmasters,
I would go with a dragon mage or lvl 4 on the dragon
