So, I wanted to make a new Space Marine army and I was thinking of Crimson Fists (Cus they are awesome. In fluff atleast) Or White Scars (Cus, Yay bikers) but then I got the idea, Why not, Build a bit more on my Grey Knights and turn them into a full workable army, And then build a Ravenwing army? Cus Ravenwing is also quite cool, And feels like it has a few more options, More types of bikers, And support, and you could probably fit in other stuff too! ^_^
So, What is peoples opinions on Ravenwing? Why shouldent I make them?

Ravenwing are pretty good army. The main problem with them is that white scar have similar abilities but cost less for bikes. However Ravenwing can get the banner of devastation, which makes their bolt guns essentially heavy 4, which is crazy good when the already have twinlinked and relentless.
Edit: don't get the official Samnuel model. It can break from so passive agressive sneeze.

I'd get Ravenwing seeing as you get Black Knights which I've always found cool.

I decided to go for Ravenwing over White Scars because they have more models it feels like. They got their own models of bikers, and they got their own model Command squad bikers, And Black Knights.. Plus you could probably fit in more stuff, Like the land speeders, And assault marines!

Remember that as FA, Landspeeders are Scoring 1/6 of the time.
As Troops, Landspeeders are never scoring.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

That too, though I don't know of anyone who would actually enforce it.
It seems that the intent is to allow it but RAW and all that.

Side arround question thingie, Are the Grey Knights worth using currently? As I'm planning to build them up from 10 power armor knights and 10 terminators to a full army before building the Ravenwing force.

Scoring unit? Is this covered in the larger rulebook by chance?

In the Scouring and Big Guns Never Tire, Fast Attack (or Heavy Support) units are scoring, even if they are vehicles.

Ravenwing is absurdly cheap, money-wise, due to the mass proliferation of dark vengeance bikes. If you want to throw together a small army which, including codex, costs less than $100, or if you want to make a HUGE bike army for the price of a regular bike army, then ravenwing might just be for you.
